Pat chicken thighs dry with a paper towel. This helps them crisp up slightly.
In a bowl, toss the chicken with olive oil and taco seasoning until evenly coated.
For deeper flavor and extra tenderness, let the chicken sit in the fridge for at least 20 minutes (or up to overnight). (short on time? feel free to skip this step)
Preheat your air fryer to 390°F. Place chicken thighs in a single layer.
Cook for 10 minutes
Flip and cook another 6–8 minutes
Chicken is done when it's crispy and reaches an internal temp of 165°F.
Rest and slice
Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing. This keeps it juicy.
Notes
I used taco seasoning since we were having taco night but they are just as good with salt and pepper or salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika.
