Pan Fried Parmesan Asparagus

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch asparagus
  • olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • ¼ cup shredded parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Wash and trim asparagus. You can trim without a knife by bending each asparagus spear until it snaps. That's how you can tell what part to discard
  • Heat a medium size skillet and add olive oil
  • Once hot, add asparagus and sprinkle with salt and pepper
  • Cook undisturbed for at least 4 minutes, then start to toss until all sides get a little charred. This usually takes 6-8 minutes. The key is not overcooking it so it remains crispy and not soggy
  • Remove from heat and top with freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • Serve with your favourite protein!
