1. Wash and trim asparagus. You can trim without a knife by bending each asparagus spear until it snaps. That's how you can tell what part to discard
2. Heat a medium size skillet and add olive oil
3. Once hot, add asparagus and sprinkle with salt and pepper
4. Cook undisturbed for at least 4 minutes, then start to toss until all sides get a little charred. This usually takes 6-8 minutes. The key is not overcooking it so it remains crispy and not soggy
5. Remove from heat and top with freshly grated parmesan cheese
6. Serve with your favourite protein!
