Cheesy Bread Crumble Asparagus

A delicious, hands-off side dish that will make EVEN the non-veggie lovers in your life love asparagus! Fun fact: growing up, my mom would always make a bread crumb topper for steamed veggies like cauliflower. I think it may have contributed to my life long love for veggies! Whatever gets ya there...right?

Ingredients

1 bunch asparagus
Drizzle of olive oil
½ tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
¼ cup bread crumbs
¼ cup shredded parmesan cheese
2 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp chili flakes
2 tbsp melted butter

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 425°F

2. Wash and trim asparagus

3. In a large baking dish add asparagus. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper; set aside

4. In a medium bowl add bread crumbs, cheese, spices and melted butter; mix well

5. Top asparagus with cheesy bread crumble

6. Bake for 10-12 minutes
