Loaded Grinder Sandwich
Hands down the best sandwich I’ve ever made. This EPIC sandwich will rock your world and you’ll never look at a sandwich the same again! I used an entire Italian loaf which was the perfect amount for 4 people. You can also make it on 4 smaller subs. Grab some extra napkins as this is a messy sandwich, worth every spill for the incredible flavour!

Ingredients
1 Italian loaf
¼ cup mayo
2 tbsp balsamic or red wine vinegar
2 tbsp diced Kalamata olives
2 tbsp Calabrian hot peppers (jarred)
½ tsp basil
½ tsp oregano
1 small head of lettuce, shredded
2 tbsp Dijon mustard
A pack of your favourite deli meat
½ cup shredded cheese (sharp cheddar and Jarlsberg work well)
1 large tomato, sliced
¼ red onion, thinly sliced
¼ cup mayo
2 tbsp balsamic or red wine vinegar
2 tbsp diced Kalamata olives
2 tbsp Calabrian hot peppers (jarred)
½ tsp basil
½ tsp oregano
1 small head of lettuce, shredded
2 tbsp Dijon mustard
A pack of your favourite deli meat
½ cup shredded cheese (sharp cheddar and Jarlsberg work well)
1 large tomato, sliced
¼ red onion, thinly sliced
Directions
1. In a large bowl, combine mayo, vinegar, olives, hot peppers, shredded lettuce, and spices; mix well and set aside.
2. Cut the Italian loaf in half and either scoop out some of the insides or press down making a slight indent.
3. Place loaf pieces on a large baking sheet.
4. Spread both sides of the bread with Dijon mustard and top with deli meat.
5. Sprinkle your cheese on top and broil for 2-3 minutes, just until the cheese has melted.
6. Pile on the sliced tomato, onion, and lettuce/sauce mixture; close loaf and cut into slices. Enjoy!
TIP
Get a good variety of deli meats and use 4 smaller sub buns so and your guests can make their own sandwiches (or you can make two different ones for yourself!).
