If you’re looking for an easy Spring appetizer that feels a little fancy but requires almost no effort, these Asparagus and Crispy Prosciutto Crostini are the answer. They’re fresh, flavorful, and perfect for entertaining — especially around Easter, Mother’s Day, or any Spring gathering.
What I love most about this recipe is how simple the preparation is. Everything bakes together on one sheet pan, which means minimal cleanup and very little hands-on time. The baguette slices become perfectly crisp, the asparagus turns tender, and the prosciutto transforms into salty, crispy bites that add the most delicious texture.
Once everything comes out of the oven, the crostini are assembled in seconds with creamy herb and garlic Boursin cheese, the roasted asparagus, and crumbled prosciutto. If you want to elevate them even more, a light drizzle of hot honey adds the most incredible sweet and spicy finish.
This appetizer is also a wonderful way to highlight fresh, in-season asparagus, which shines during Spring. The result is a bright, balanced bite that’s crispy, creamy, savory, and slightly sweet all at once.
Whether you’re hosting brunch, bringing an appetizer to a party, or just want something fun to snack on, these crostini are guaranteed to disappear quickly. I highly recommend adding them to your Easter line up if you’re hosting or if you’re having a little happy hour this Spring then these crostini would pair very nicely with a crispy cold glass of Sauvignon Blanc!
The combination of salty asparagus and prosciutto is so perfect with creamy Boursin on a hot slice of baguette. It will be hard to only have one so prepare yourself because my husband and I ate the entire plate. Zero regrets. Actually turned out to a be a balanced meal with protein and vegetables! You can easily make this vegetarian by leaving out the prosciutto so if you’re hosting you can offer both versions. This recipe would also be super delicious with brie cheese! I might have to make that version next!
These Asparagus and Crispy Prosciutto Crostini are proof that simple ingredients can create something truly special. They’re elegant enough for entertaining but easy enough to throw together at the last minute — the perfect Spring appetizer for Easter brunch, dinner parties, or weekend snacking. Make sure to give this one a try!
