I LOVE that this appetizer looks so elegant but it’s so easy to make and you only need a handful of ingredients! If you want to go one step further and add a little salty element, then I recommend adding a slice of prosciutto to each bundle. Brie + proscuitto is always a good idea and would work perfectly here with the asparagus. I really do think the hot honey takes this appetizer to the next level with a little spice and a little heat.

Tips for Perfect Puff Pastry Bundles

  • Use cold puff pastry.
    If the pastry becomes too warm while assembling, it won’t puff as well. Keep it chilled until ready to use.
  • Trim the asparagus if needed.
    If your asparagus spears are very long, trim them slightly so they fit nicely inside the pastry.
  • Don’t overfill the pastry.

Substitutes: Crescent roll dough or phyllo dough can work, though puff pastry gives the best flaky texture.

6 slices of brie cheese: Brie adds a creamy, rich center that melts beautifully when baked. Its mild flavor pairs perfectly with asparagus and honey.

  • Thaw puff pastry & then cut each sheet into 6 squares
  • Trim your asparagus & season with olive oil, salt, pepper & chili flakes
  • Cut Brie into slices
  • Place puff pastry squares on to a lined baking sheet
  • Add a piece of Brie & 3 asparagus spears to each
  • Whisk together egg in a small bowl
  • Rub egg wash on the corners of each bundle & close
  • Rub entire bundle with egg wash
  • Season with everything seasoning
  • Bake for 20-22 mins
  • Drizzle with hot honey (or regular honey) and serve immediately
