They’re creamy, chocolatey, naturally sweetened, and made with just a handful of simple ingredients you probably already have on hand. Even better? There’s no baking required, making them perfect for warmer weather when you don’t want to turn on the oven.

These little bites are the perfect hybrid between a dessert and a snack—refreshing from the frozen yogurt center, rich from the dark chocolate shell, and balanced with a sprinkle of sea salt. Make a batch ahead of time and keep them in the freezer for whenever that sweet tooth hits. So perfect for a hot summer day and I LOVE that they sneak in a little bit of protein from the yogurt. If you’d like, you can add a scoop of your favorite vanilla protein powder to make them even more protein friendly.

These bites are perfect for adults and kids and are just the most refreshing snack/dessert. Since the ingredients are pretty good for you, you won’t feel bad for eating 2-3 in one sitting. Trust me: they are addictive in the best way. Perfect for strawberry season coming up!

Why You’ll Love These Strawberry Yogurt Bites

  • No-bake and ready for the freezer
  • Made with wholesome, simple ingredients
  • Perfect for meal prep or a quick treat
  • Naturally sweetened and easy to customize
  • Great for hot weather snacking

Tips for the Best Results for Strawberry Yogurt Bites

  • Drain excess liquid: If your strawberries are very juicy, lightly pat them dry to prevent the yogurt mixture from becoming too runny.
  • Work quickly when coating: The bites melt fast once out of the freezer, so dip them in chocolate one at a time.
  • Use a fork for dipping: This helps excess chocolate drip off for a smoother coating.
  • Keep them frozen: These are best enjoyed straight from the freezer for that perfect creamy-meets-crunchy texture.
  • Double the batch: They go fast, and you’ll wish you had more on hand.

Storage

Store your strawberry yogurt chocolate bites in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks. They’re perfect to grab whenever you need a quick sweet treat.

These Strawberry Yogurt Chocolate Bites prove that dessert doesn’t have to be complicated to be delicious. With minimal ingredients, no baking, and a refreshing frozen texture, they check every box for an easy, better-for-you treat. Whether you’re prepping snacks for the week or just want something sweet on hand, this recipe is one you’ll come back to again and again.

How To Make strawberry yogurt chocolate bites

The Ingredients

Strawberries: Fresh strawberries add natural sweetness and a juicy texture. Make sure to pat them dry so there’s no excess liquid!
Substitutes: Frozen strawberries (thawed and drained), raspberries, blueberries, or chopped mango.

Greek Yogurt: Adds creaminess and a boost of protein while keeping the filling light. My favorite whole milk greek yogurt is Chobani!
Substitutes: Regular yogurt (thicker is better), dairy-free yogurt (like coconut or almond), or even blended cottage cheese for extra protein.

Maple Syrup: Naturally sweetens the yogurt mixture with a subtle, warm flavor.
Substitutes: Honey, agave, or a sugar-free syrup alternative.

Dark Chocolate Pellets: Creates the rich outer shell that hardens perfectly in the freezer. I like using the Ghirardelli dark chocolate melting wafers!
Substitutes: Milk chocolate for a sweeter option, semi-sweet chocolate chips, or dairy-free chocolate chips.

Sea Salt: A small sprinkle enhances the chocolate flavor and balances sweetness. My favorite is Maldon salt
Substitutes: Flaky salt or omit if preferred.

What You Need

The Steps

  • Wash, dry and dice strawberries.
  • In a bowl, mix together the diced strawberries, Greek yogurt, and maple syrup until well combined.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Scoop about 2 tablespoons of the mixture per bite and place onto the sheet, forming 9 small mounds.
  • Place the tray in the freezer for 1 hour, or until the bites are fully solid.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  • Remove the frozen yogurt bites from the freezer and dip each one into the melted chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  • Place back onto the parchment paper and sprinkle lightly with sea salt.
  • Freeze again for 10–15 minutes until the chocolate shell is set.

Recipe Tips

  • For best results, store them in the freezer and then let them thaw for 5-10 mins before eating!
  • If you want to sneak in more protein, you can add in a scoop of your favorite vanilla protein powder when mixing with yogurt.
  • You don't have to fully coat them, you can simply drizzle chocolate on top if that's easier.
  • You can also add a tsp of coconut oil to your chocolate for it to become silky smooth when melted.
  • You can try this with blueberries too!
